The candy-vac arrived. It's by far in better condition than my two other Candy Vacs. No body imprint though, but all-Parker parts. Three really interesting features. It's an opposite-trim, it has a candy blind cap, and even the cap has great transparency. These are just phone-images. I'll try to get some better pictures later, it looks discoloured, but isn't.

From the photos, it looks an awful lot like a Japanese knockoff to me.

Is there a white metal band inside the mouth of the cap?

Yup. Sh*t. Looking closer it doesn't seem kosher. Probably that Japanese knockoff you mention. Strange pen to copy. It's actually well made, but has the metal band inside the cap. The blind cap screws onto a real Vac, but the cap won't. Guess I made a bad buy. Pity. I really wanted another Candy Vac. It's also a tad shorter, although the cap is of the same size. Also the clip, looking close, has an arrow on the arrow on the clip. Truth is in the details. Please tell me more about the Japanese.
