Hi all,

Stumbled apon this Chilton barrel +nib on ebay: Chilton Summit Chiltonian (?)...any thoughts on value, chance of finding a cap...etc?

I did not look at the auction that close. in regards to value, this is more worth it to the person that needs a proper Chiltonian nib. I would say, my estimation less than $50.

Finding a cap, very slim chance. But not impossible.

Of course, a certain chilton collector might have it in their parts hoarde, but if that is the case, I would chance the guess they are a potential buyer.

Complete, the pen is maybe a $125-$175 pen, again, my opinion.

Thanks for the info! Well, if finding a cap is very hard, I think I'm out. But it certainly is an interesting pen--was it a lower "cachet" of the Chilton brand--like Spencerian was for Conklin? (I think thats the right name )

Conklin made Specerian pens for their writing class/instruction/course (as did others)

I would call this more like the Parkette of Parker as to the Chiltonian of Chilton. lower line, but for arguements sake, the pens are pretty solid. plated alloy nibs, and lower quality trim and plating, but the fill mechanisms are quite solid.
