Just picked this up, based on one photo:

and an equally vague description-- "old Watermans pen"

Anyone care to guess with me? A basic 52?

Will update when I can, and thanks!

Hi,

The 52 (5x series) could be had in a variety of trim and color configurations. At first peek this looks to be a smooth black hard rubber with gold-filled trim and cap lip/ring. More commonly seen is Black Chased Hard Rubber, bandless, with white-metal trim. Often these turn up with very flexible nibs.
