I'm told Tapatalk is an app that you download on your mobile device that works with an application that runs on the server end to make mobile viewing easier.
I use the classic mode on my IOS devices and have never figured out what advantage I would get from the app. I recall that FPN stated it would cost them to deploy the enabled version and that the cost was not insignificant.
I still don't really see why I would need it though it seems to make navigation and posting easier for those that don't have a real computer or a real network connection.

Its very helpful and easy to use when you are away from your computer. its not good enough to post big things with lots of images, but very good for reading. But is far superior that the mobile version. The notification works great, once someone updates a post you receive a notification. Reading, responding and even browsing is much easier IMHO.
It has NO COST if the FPB uses the standard version, It only has costs if you want to have a custom made version. I really think there is no need for that. I use the friendly machinist forum and FPGeeks in my smartphone using tapatalk and works great. Both have the non paid version, o need to spend one dollar.
Only I as a user paid around 2,5 euros to buy the app on Google app store
In FPN they were discussing making a custom made tapatalk version, that why they add that cost discussion. My opinion its that the regular version is more than enough.
The way people use the internet is changing, more and more users are moving to mobile platforms like tablets and smartphones and that will for sure increase the FPB use and exposure and make users life easier, at no cost...
