I just was outbid on a pretty interesting Parker Fil-O-Matic desk set, which I have never seen before. Although it is not mine, I would still like to know more about it, so any info you have on this set is appreciated.

Thanks,

Vincenzo

I thought this was something like a dip pen of sorts, where ink went into the base and the pen retained a bit of ink when writing. Sorry I can't be more specific, but I don't recall much more than that.

Saw that and tossed out a low hope-no-one-notices-this-listing bid.  Notice the "slits" in the feed?  Wonder if it has a 61-style capillary filler?

There's also the "Guardsman" desk set that has a VP-like section and an open nib that may have come in both 14K and Octanium.  There was a seller on ebay July 2011 who had 10 of them (but I only saw 2 get sold) with an 11-60 instruction sheet.  Has a round base.  Here's one from November that still has active photos:  http://www.ebay.com/itm/301020197084  The Guardsman is adjustable - you adjust the nib by rotating the taper - well before the VP or the 75.

Page 70 of the October 2016 issue of Pen World has an article on the Fil-O-Matic.

Fil-O-Matic photos from a recent ebay listing.  Doesn't appear to have an arrow/halo mark anywhere.
