It appears so. I assume many of the people here have an idea of the history of PenTrace, I've only known of it a couple years and not been a regular reader/poster. It does appear that they will be closing down both the forum and sales sites.
PenTrace closing?

I haven't looked at Pentrace in years. The structure of the board is horrible, with threads that are active just going further and further down the board and impossible to find. The politics of it got pretty tough to deal with as well.

Someone made mention of a lawsuit against the board.

The last pens that MT seemed to advertise were the "Eternal" pens, and then the company put out a wide range of different styles, shapes, sizes and filling systems before eventually closing up shop. Who knows? Could be someone was unhappy with a Lamy Safari's scratchy nib that they bought off Pentrace. Steven Overbury's presence seems to have stirred up some passions quite recently too.
Point is, that even the threat of a lawsuit, frivolous or otherwise, will VERY quickly drive someone away from something they do as a labor of love. It sucks.
