Paul Rossi customized Parker 51's.

Three in matte and semi-gloss Crocodile pattern

One in gloss Ice-Flow, that one with customized cap as well.

These are entry level Rossi pens. They are quite nice.  I'm glad finally to have Paul sharing some of his work with me.

Really beautiful work!

1. Are the crocodile and ice patterns 3 dimensional? Are there actually grooves in the barrel where the patterns lie?

2. What is the material like - leather bound to plastic?

3. Are the matte finish caps satin-like, or more like a brushed stainless steel?

Good eye.

While the ice-flow pattern is etched into barrel, the Croc pattern  is more of a heavy carving, with shaded depth beyond just the etched pattern.

The material is Lucite. These are original Parker 51 barrels. His canvas is the original material.  Rossi is good.

The caps, save for the one open cap which he customized, are original 51 caps, one polished finish as the pen is a 51 Special the others frosty.

regards

This man's craftsmanship is amazing. how can he achieve such good tolerances with lucite material such that the caps still fit on the barrel? What great talent.

thanks for sharing these images!

The cap doesn't touch the barrel. The clutch grips the clutch ring.

Truly impressive! Such texture, such skill, it looks like the skin of a watch band or wallet! Amazing!
