I wanted to share a recent restoration I did on a J.G. Rider Perfection Pen.. Let me know what you think:

Great pens and very difficult to find.  I lived near Rockford for 8 years and only found 3.  I would note that the loop seems excessive perhaps it is the angle

Nice find.

The fellow above me here now lives fairly close to Rockford perhaps he will find a trove.  IIRC somewhere around the mid 20s Rider Pen ended up in Ann Arbor Michigan, so Rockford is not the only local area where the hunting may be a bit better

May be the angle does give it an excessive look. But it follows the patent. I found an Ann Arbor "My Master" with a #6 nib that I'll share some time. Great pens.

There is following the patent and there is doing it the way they actually manufactured it - often two different proposals.
