One: Was this endura hard rubber or just faded celluloid?

and Two: Can anyone tell what company this pen is from the picture? Reminds me of a snap-fill or jiffy pen, also the lever seems a bit strange to me, almost as though it is upside down Posted Image

Hi,

I'm not pro-from-Dover when it comes to Endura, but do believe the flat-end pens made the jump from rubber to celluloid. While celluloid of course can fade in sun-exposure pattern too, the look of this yells HR.

Cannot say with certainty (surprised seller did not post the nib markings), but it does have a Houston/Jiffy flavor no doubt.

The Endura was a BHR pen imo, an early one (pre 1925) as there is not date on the lever.

No doubt that's a Snapfil. It cost me considerably more than that to get my Snapfil overlay... :(

I sure hope it's a snap-fill, with no markings on the pen(according to the seller) I have my doubts as to wether or not it is a genuine snap-fill pen.

I don't recall my pen having any imprint on the overlay - I can check when I get home. However, given the distinctive barrel shape, the clasp with lyre, the appearance of the lever, there is absolutley no doubt in my mind.

Do take a photo of yours when you have the chance, I would love to see another one so as to confirm mine is genuine.
