Hi Greg

I am also a collector of flat top duofolds, including lady duofolds. I think the juniors and lady duofolds get a rough time and seem to rank well lower in priority for collectors than the seniors. I have pictures of some of my pens, including the "ladies", on my flickr pages at http://www.flickr.com/photos/emster/ I have the same lady duofolds that you have plus the red hard rubber (mint with price band) and also a mint jade first year "non"duofold. There is also the permanite lady with a clip instead of a ringtop and the mandarin with 3 rings instead of the wide cap band. I also have some mint examples of the ribbon that accompanied the ringtop.

I'm not sure about the black and pearl. I think John Danza is right that the black and pearl came along after wide cap bands went out. I have some parker catalogs from the period I will check.

James

I think he is based in the far east and sells in GB pounds to appear more "kosher" although he states that he is UK based. With a potential of many million customers over the world he takes the view that if "you throw enough sh-t at the fan some will stick".

I am pretty sure he is actually based in Australia. He has a username on FPN (I believe I wrote it down, but don't remember it at the moment), and once posted some photos with his ubiquitous pink-striped background on that website. Incidentally, I am very grateful for his use of that background on his eBay auctions, because it means I can scan them and quickly dismiss them as a waste of time.

He is not based in Australia.

I am in Australia and recently bought a pen from him at at modest price (not the ridiculous BIN prices) and it was shipped from Hong Kong. The accompanying note was written in very questionable english suggesting that it's not his first language
