Jack Knife Safety ?

10 November 2011 - 03:21 PM

Hi;

Just wondering if this would be called an advertising or private label Parker pen. It has a Fire Ins. Co. logo along with "50 years London & Lancashire Fire Ins. Co." It has the Jack Knife Safety pat pending imprint along with the Geo. S Parker info. Lucky Curve nib. 4.5 "

thanks

3 Misc Watermans

09 November 2011 - 09:44 PM

Hi;

I need help with the last of my Waterman's :) I pretty much have them all identified and ready to list but these last 3.

1)The black looks like a Taperite to me but not sure because of the cap. No number and nothing I can see written on the tiny nib. The barrel imprint says Waterman's Made in the USA. Lever and gold band under clip less cap. Measures around 4 3/4".

2) Black with sterling overlay. No cap. No number. Only word is sterling. No. 2 nib.

3)Black with gold overlay. No cap. 0512 1/2. Waterman's Ideal Fountain Pen on end of overlay. No. 2 nib.

Picture in my gallery. Thanks for any help.

Waterman Help

27 October 2011 - 03:14 AM

Hi;

Any idea what this pen is called? The only markings are Watermans on the cap. It has a Warranted 14CT nib. Closed it measures almost 3 3/4", including cap, and open 6" without cap. Also, what is it called when pens extend like this one.

Thank you;

R. H. Macy

18 July 2011 - 07:12 PM

Hi;

I have a pen that says R.H. Macy & Co. Inc. on the barrel. Above that is "Superior". Is Superior a co. that made this pen for Macy's? The nib reads M.T. & Co. 14kt. Can't find much info on Macy Pens.

Dip Pens?

17 July 2011 - 04:58 PM

Hi;

New to the board. I'm looking to gather some information in order to sell a bunch of pens I have. I wanted to start with 2 dip pens I have. One is small with a pearl holder and an "indestructible" nib. No other markings. The other is larger with a wood base and the nib reads Charles P Todd & Co. Best NY. ( related to Mabie Todd?) I can't remove it to see if there is anything else written. This is more of a flex nib while the other is not. I've tried cleaning them with a polishing cloth only. Is there any other information needed date, maker etc?

Thanks;
