I've shown a nice range of 1940's Sheaffer Crest Masterpiece (solid gold cap) and Masterpiece (solid gold cap and barrel).

I don't have on hand a 1951 Thin Model Touchdown in solid gold, but moving to 1952-9, let's peek in on Sheaffer's Snorkel, a very well selling pen with wide color and model ranges. Snorkel was not offered as Crest Masterpiece, but Masterpiece proper was done.
