Pavoni, talking about unbelievable pens-- you yourself have a hearty collection of vintage MBs, don't be shy and share with us. I don't think anyone would mind if you transcribe that amazing post you did at FPN to here...Bravo! You guys have some unbelievable pens. I can't stop returning to this awe-inspiring thread. Fabulous pens, simply fabulous.
Brilliant thread. Please keep them coming.
Pavoni.

For size reference, they were shot next to the cap of a Waterman 52 1/2 or maybe a 12 (full length pen either way).
There are reaaaaaaally little.

My Montblanc collection is small and most everything in it has already been depicted (and a whole lot more that I would give a lot to own), but here are a couple of pieces not yet depicted
This first, an early 14 K 744 set
and this 25 safety
Hi Rick,
Today I have revisited this thread and this set is a great one, but its not ( IMHO) a 744, but a 144 or 146 with , a probably, custom made an overlay. This is much more rare that the 744!!. Does the pen has any number marked? How is the nib? Pictures would be great. I have never seen a 144 or 146 with golden overlay, but I think some where made by French jewelers. I have seen 149´s but not 144 or 146's....
Best regards
Vasc

Truly beautiful pens – thank you everyone for sharing! Those striated pens are particularly enticing I must say, piscov and soot, and I love that triangle cap – I had never seen one before!
At present I have but three MB fountain pens: a 234 1/2, a 244, and a 246. Here they are, but not in that order:
I've got a few more on my "keep your eyes open for one of these" list, and so hope to add to the above three as the others turn up.
Cheers!

Dear All,
Im new to this community but wanted to share some pics of my oldest Montblanc with you.
This is a safety model 122C from around 1910 with the full white cap top and the imported no. 2 nib from New York.
I know these old pens are not coming around very often and I really wonder if any of you has some similar pieces to compare.
Many Thanks!

I have a SImplo MB, a 206 later than yours which is somehow a similar piece... although I prefer yours with a full white cap, but so hard to find..

Wow! Many thanks for the #6! Never seen such an old big size safety.
Yeah the white top is a prize. but not the least my personal favorite.
You see you can still dig up some nice pens in Hungary if you are lucky enough especially as this country has always been under German influence...
And I am very very far from being a real collector
Whatever.
If you wanna see some more from me just let me know. I have a few old regular MBs that might be interesting if you want to extend this topic just for a little more.
