Vintage Parker Depression era, Thrift Time, fountain pen. Fourth quarter of 1935.
See writing sample picture posted.
Works very well. Nib has some flex as shown in the writing sample.
Imprint on the nib is:
PARKER
PEN
MAD IN
U.S.A.
45
Imprint on the barrel is:
Geo S Parker - Parker- Made in U.S.A. 45
(the 45 on the barrel is rotated 90° clockwise to the other text)
Three ring cap
Clip screw and blind cap match the body (green marble). They are not black.
New sac just installed.
Button filler mechanics work well.
The furniture is in decent shape, but showing age. The clip has wear, and the cap has what looks like a small crack from the bottom to the first ring. It seems stable.
Please, feel free to ask me any questions or make an offer - pricing this FP is hard as there are so few examples and the one on ebay is insanely priced. Price includes shipping in CONUS.
I have uploaded several more higher resolution pics on the Gallery section of this site.
Thanks
